Assistant Librarian – Greensboro Free Library (Greensboro, VT)

The Greensboro Free Library seeks to  hire an Assistant Librarian for our public library.  The position is part-time and will be open in May or June.  The Assistant Librarian will work in collaboration with our Library Director and Youth Services Librarian to provide excellent customer service and a welcoming community space.  Duties will include assisting patrons of all ages, managing volunteers, providing interlibrary loan services, processing and cataloging new materials, assisting with PR mailings and flyers, and maintaining displays and the collection.

We seek a friendly person who will advocate for the library and learning at all times and can work independently, multi-task, and learn new skills as library services evolve.  A bachelor’s degree, strong computer skills, and evidence of interest in libraries are preferred.  Negotiable hours include 16 hours per week for 10 months of the year, with more hours in July and August. Pay will be based on skill level.  The job includes Vacation and Sick Leave benefits as well as some paid holidays.
