The Salisbury Free Public Library is seeking an energetic, efficient, organized and self-motivated person to be Director of our small but mighty library, located in a unique 1869 building in the rural village of Salisbury. Our mission is: to promote community through information, education, dialog and celebration. The Director is a town employee but is appointed by and responsible to the Board of Trustees. Salisbury residency is not required.
This position is currently 16 hours per week but could increase to 20. The Director manages all aspects of running a library and supervises other staff and volunteers. Salary is based on qualifications and experience, with a competitive benefits package.
Qualifications are bachelor’s degree preferred, library-related training or experience, excellent computer competency, and willingness to earn Vermont Public Library Certification within 3 years.
Salisbury Free Public Library is a fast-growing and valuable community asset.
