The Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, VT seeks a Head Adult Librarian to help advance our mission of empowering community members to become lifelong learners. The Head Adult Librarian will balance three primary areas of responsibility: overseeing the adult circulation desk scheduling and functions; coordinating library technology; and managing most of the adult collection development. This position works many of their hours on the circulation desk and participates in training new staff, substitutes, pages, and volunteers.
The ideal candidate must have an MLS/MLIS or a Bachelor’s Degree plus Vermont Library Certification, exceptional knowledge of computer troubleshooting, and prior library experience serving a variety of needs. This position requires evening and Saturday hours. The starting pay is $26.83 per hour along with an excellent benefits package. This position is part of the library’s collective bargaining unit.
