The South Burlington Public Library building opened in 2021 as the cornerstone of a new downtown. The Library started as a community library at the high school, then relocated temporarily to the University Mall, before moving into the current building which also houses City Hall and a Senior Center. We are hiring a Children’s Librarian. The Librarian supervises several staff in the service of children ages 0-13 and their families and caregivers. In addition to supervision, this person will be part of the library’s leadership team to set and maintain the course our programs and services. They are responsible for the collection, planning summer reading and setting goals with staff using the lens of our strategic plan. Do you love working with older elementary and middle school kids?
