The Howe Library seeks an experienced professional with a passion for public libraries and the ability to engage and inspire children of all ages to serve as our Head of Youth Services. Reporting to the Library Director, the Head of Youth Services serves as a member of the library’s management team and is responsible for all facets of library services for children and teens, including administration, supervision of employees, programs and outreach, collection management, reader’s advisory, and reference. The successful candidate will have a track record of innovation as well as excellent supervisory and customer service skills. Must have advanced knowledge of youth library programs and operations, a positive attitude, and be a team player.
