Children’s Librarian – Newbury Public Library (Newbury, NH)

The Newbury Public Library in Newbury NH seeks a highly motivated, energetic and creative Children’s Librarian who is interested in joining our team. We are an active library known for our programming and are looking for a passionate Children’s Librarian to become a part of our community! Children’s Programming Coordinator – Morrill Memorial and Harris Library (Strafford, VT)

Responsibilities for this part-time position at the Morrill Memorial and Harris Library in Strafford, Vermont  include overseeing children’s programming, including planning and executing a weekly after school program during the school year with a craft or activity tie-in; six weeks of summer reading programming; bi-weekly or monthly outreach to the Creative Preschool; and occasional special programs.
Programs should be literacy based, age appropriate and include quality children’s literature. Other duties as needed include: shopping for arts and craft materials, keeping materials in order, arranging for a volunteer to help with programs, and contracting with outside performers/presenters.  The position reports to the Library Director. Depending on the time of year, this position involves 3-7 hours of work per week. Experience working with pre-school and elementary-aged children, knowledge of children’s literature and literacy fundamentals and previous experience in an educational or library setting preferred.
