How can we extend library services beyond their conventional limits? How can we make students, faculty and staff better aware of all the resources and services available to them? How can we market the library in a world where people’s attention is at a premium?
Join colleagues in academic and special libraries from around the state Friday, June 15th, from 10am-3pm at St. Michael’s College to discuss these and other issues that face us. In the morning we will hear from several presenters on the topics of outreach and orientation. Lunch will follow at local restaurants with ample time for networking and sharing ideas. During the afternoon, attendees will participate in a facilitated roundtable discussion about issues that came up in the morning or at lunch.
We are currently looking for presentations of 30 minutes (which includes time for questions). If you have been working on something you are excited about or want to further explore a topic related to outreach and orientation please contact Andy Burkhardt at aburkhardt@champlain.edu. Also please forward names of colleagues who would work well for the morning sessions.
