Youth Services Librarian – Dailey Memorial Library (Derby, VT)

The Dailey Memorial Library in Derby, VT is seeking a part-time youth services librarian with a strong commitment to public service.  The position involves providing library services and programming for and with youth aged 0-18 years of age and having constant contact and collaboration with youth and caregivers including those with diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Duties include assisting youth in their library activities, conducting preschool story times, planning and organizing summer reading programs for school-aged children, planning and organizing weekend and after school programs and activities as well as special holiday events, advocating for the library’s youth programs, and attending professional conferences, seminars, and classes to keep current with this field.

This position is 10-12 hours per week.  Requirements are eligibility to work in the U.S., a high school diploma with some college preferred, and at least one year of experience working in libraries or running programs for youth.
