5th Annual ACRL-NEC Vermont Virtual Conference

The Association of College and Research Libraries – New England Chapter (ACRL/NEC) has just announced that registration is open for its Spring 2014 Conference:  We’re All in This Together: Strengthening Librarians through Professional Development. It should be a great time, but if you cannot make it down to Worcester, MA and want an opportunity to network with other Vermont librarians, then…

Register now for the 5th Annual ACRL-NEC Vermont Virtual Conference on Friday, May 9th, 2014!

As with last year, the Vermont Virtual Conference will be held at the Community College of Vermont in Montpelier, VT. In addition to watching the conference streamed live, you will have the chance to connect with other Vermont librarians. Those of you who have attended in past years know that the virtual conference has been marred by technical difficulties with the streaming sessions. This year, however, ACRL/NEC has arranged for professional streaming for the virtual attendees, and we anticipate that things will run much smoother!
For information on the program and possible breakout sessions sessions see the Conference Website: http://conference2014.acrlnec.org/. We will stream Susanne Markgren and Tiffany Eatman Allen’s opening keynote and a total of six breakouts during three sessions (one in the morning and two in the afternoon).
Registration for the Virtual Conference is at: http://2014virtualannual.eventbrite.com/. The cost has been raised to $30 to help offset the costs of the professional streaming, but it still a pretty good deal. You can pay online via credit card or choose “Show other payment options” before clicking “Register” to pay by check. During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to select which breakouts you would most like to see. Registration includes morning snack, coffee, and lunch.
