The National Center for PTSD seeks a future-oriented, innovative leader to oversee the operation of the PTSDpubs database (https://www.ptsd.va.gov/ptsdpubs/search_ptsdpubs.asp) and serve as the Resource Center Manager. PTSDpubs is a freely available, online database of articles, reports, books, and dissertations related to the psychological effects of trauma. This cross-disciplinary, international database is a high-visibility project, searched over 40 million times last year. In 2018, PTSDpubs transitioned to a custom content management system paired with state-of-the-art semantic software with auto-tagging capabilities. The incumbent will have the unique opportunity to shape and refine the administrative and public interfaces of this system for the 21st century.
The incumbent will also manage the Resource Center, which houses a large physical collection, and supervise the Resource Center staff. As a part of the Resource Center team, the incumbent will provide comprehensive, in-depth reference services, support scholarly publishing, deliver instruction, promote Resource Center services, and market the PTSDpubs database.

involve managing and overseeing all aspects of library circulation, scheduling, training and supervising
clerical staff and volunteers. Assists with reference and reader’s advisory services for patrons.
Participates in the supervisor cohort with librarians and Library Director. Must possess excellent
communication and public service skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with coworkers and volunteers and articulate direction in a clear and collegial manner, and to exercise

The goal of Alburgh School library is to enhance student achievement and foster the appreciation of literature by ensuring that students and teachers are effective users of ideas and information. This goal is accomplished by:
• providing intellectual and physical access to materials in a variety of formats.
• providing instruction to foster literacy competence and stimulate interest in accessing, evaluating, and applying information and ideas.
• promoting literacy throughout the day.
• collaborating with other educators to design learning so that students’ literacy needs are met.
• serving as an independent and supervised learning center.
When the school library is reaching its goal, students will visit the library frequently to access the full range of available information resources including print and non-print materials, electronic databases, and information systems. The library media specialist will know students by name and communicate with them about their personal and school-related interests. Students who come to a fully functioning library will exhibit on task behavior associated with the appropriate use of materials. A large number of students will come to the library asking for a “really good” book, and will congregate in the library because it is a safe and inviting place.

Elementary/Middle School Short-term Librarian Substitute – Seeking a Short-term Librarian Substitute for our elementary and middle school grade level students. Preferred candidate will have knowledge of library, media and research instructional practices, integration of technology. Anticipated dates are from February 14, 2019 through April 2019.
