Legislative Day for Vermont’s Libraries
Tuesday April 9, 2024, 8:00am – 1pm
Statehouse in Montpelier
Come to the Statehouse on April 9th to show your support for Vermont libraries! We will meet in the Card Room, on the second floor. (The Card “Room” is really the hallway before you enter the cafeteria.)
Arrange to meet with your lawmakers on this day by CONTACTING THEM IN ADVANCE and setting up a time to meet them in the cafeteria. Unsure who your legislators are? Find out here!
- Tips for Talking with Legislators (from the Association of Small & Rural Libraries)
- State House Protocol (tips for meeting with legislators. These were written by our then-lobbyist in 2008, but should still be relevant today.)
Bring as many people as possible – patrons, trustees, friends, and supporters. And please let us know you’ll be there!
