Establishes a welcoming first impression of the library through management of the circulation functions, ensuring effective and efficient library operations and service. Duties involve managing and overseeing all aspects of library adult services: circulation, scheduling, training and supervising clerks and volunteers. Assists with reference and reader’s advisory. Takes a leadership role in promotion of library services and programs. Participates in the supervisor team with librarians and Library Director. Facilitates a collaborative, cooperative work environment. Initiates projects, manages teams and motivates staff and volunteers.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday including Saturdays in schedule rotation and 1 evening per week for 37.5 hours per week.

Wage: Step 1 $25.26 per hour.

Circulation Supervisor – Rutland Free Library (Rutland, VT)

Rutland Free Library needs an organized, experienced individual to be our next circulation supervisor. This is a full-time, salaried position.

The Circulation Supervisor works closely both with the front desk staff and the administrative team. It’s a challenging, fast-paced job in a computerized environment in a busy public building.

The Stowe Free Library is seeking a customer service and detail oriented individual to fill the position of Circulation Librarian, and to assist in fulfilling our mission: “To Welcome, To Inspire, To Enrich the Mind.” This position involves direct contact with the public, supervising volunteers, and maintaining the library’s patron database.
