Vermont residents have access to a free searchable archive of millions of pages of Vermont newspapers thanks to a partnership between the Department of Libraries and Vermont State Records and Archives Administration (VSARA). Here are simple steps to get set up:

1. Sign up for a MyVermont.gov account at secure.vermont.gov/myvermont.
2. Log in and fill out your profile information including your contact information in the upper righthand corner. This is a necessary step in this process.
3. The “Featured Item” panel should show up once you’ve done this and it will have links for Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com
