Eat Your Weeds –Nutritious and Delicious Weed Control
Tired of battling your garden weeds? Why not try eating them! Join Wild Foods Educator Carolyn Dugas as we learn about the most delectable garden weeds and how to prepare them. By the end of this class, you’ll know the best techniques for turning those pesky weeds into delightful culinary creations.
We’ll aim to spend half the class outdoors in the library garden, depending on the weather.
Carolyn has been joyfully eating weeds since 2017 when she spent a year apprenticing with botanist and forager Abby Artemisia. She is working to cultivate a world where we embrace the abundant and invasive superfoods growing in our lawns and gardens. This program is cosponsored with Windsor Community Gardens.
