NaNoWriMo Virtual Write-In

National Novel Writing Month, colloquially known as NaNoWriMo, is an event that takes place every November, where participants try to write a novel (50,000 words) in a month. Each state has its own chapter. No experience is necessary to participate. In fact, many participants are first-time writers.

The Hartland Library is hosting a virtual write-in for Vermont’s chapter of NaNoWriMo. We’ll welcome participants from all over the state to join us on Saturday, November 13th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

For questions, email Liz at publicity@hartlandlibraryvt.org  A Hartland Town Library event (Windsor County.)

Author Virtual Discussion: Ecological Memory by Caroline Ailanthus

Join us as we welcome author Caroline Ailanthus to discuss her novel Ecological Memory

In the summer of 2019, Caroline published a novel about a scientist in the aftermath of a catastrophic pandemic. Less than six months later, life began to imitate art. Join Caroline for an online reading from her novel, Ecological Memory, and we’ll discuss the creation of a fictional pandemic (and how it differs from a real one!) and explore the potential of ecology as a source of perspective and hope in the face of loss. Participants will also have an opportunity to order signed copies through her website. A Hartland Town Library event (Windsor County.)
