The Jaffrey Public Library is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Youth Services Librarian to join our vibrant library, in the beautiful Monadnock region of New Hampshire. We pride ourselves on being a safe and nurturing place for all ages to gather and learn together.
Under the direction of the Library Director, this position oversees all services specific to youth and teens, including youth/teen programming, collection development, and community outreach.
Our next Youth Services Librarian will be passionate about public service and committed to professional standards, but also innovative and eager to try new ideas, make mistakes, get messy, and join our youth in the joy of learning. Thanks to many grants and donations, our youth and teens enjoy not only a robust collection, but also a giant magnetic wall, microscopes, 3D printer, coding robots, and a learning lab of their own (just outside the door of the Youth Services Librarian’s private office).
This full-time (40 hrs.), exempt, salaried position requires a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science/Information Studies and a minimum of two years of professional experience in public libraries.
