New England Archivists Spring 2011 Conference

The Spring 2011 New England Archivists meeting will be held on April 1-2, 2011, at the Pembroke Center at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. The general theme of the conference is “The Future of Archives.”

On Friday (April 1), take advantage of the educational workshops and expand your skills in audio digitization, managing electronic records, and developing a records management program.  These workshops have limited registration, so check the meeting schedule for times and reserve your place before they are full.

The Saturday (April 2) schedule will feature four tracks: 1) The Future of Archival Description; 2) The Future of Preservation; 3) The Future of Records Creators; 4) The Future of the Archival Profession. Each track will have three sessions. The day will close with a plenary session with four speakers who will each follow a track throughout the day and discuss the sessions they saw.
