Rutland Free Library needs an organized, experienced individual to be our next circulation supervisor. This is a full-time, salaried position.

The Circulation Supervisor works closely both with the front desk staff and the administrative team. It’s a challenging, fast-paced job in a computerized environment in a busy public building. The circulation department is primarily responsible for accurately checking in and out 150,000-plus items a year, and for being the first point of contact with our users.

The ideal candidate will have experience with scheduling, staff supervision, and troubleshooting technology.

Starting salary is $50,700 or $26 per hour based on a 37.5 hour work week. Benefits include health, dental, and life / disability insurance, vacation, and a generous retirement match. An MLS degree is not expected; library experience is preferred.

The Stowe Free Library is seeking a customer service and detail oriented individual to fill the position of Circulation Librarian, and to assist in fulfilling our mission: “To Welcome, To Inspire, To Enrich the Mind.” This position involves direct contact with the public, supervising volunteers, and maintaining the library’s patron database.
