The Vermont Department of Libraries is seeking a Program Technician II for the ABLE Library, Vermont’s Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. This position is the main point of contact for library patrons, providing exemplary customer service to members of the ABLE Library, and answering inquiries from the public and library staff around the state. The Program Technician reports directly to the Director of the ABLE Library and works in close partnership with Department staff, key stakeholders in other state agencies, and relevant federal agencies.

Position
The Library Director is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of public library services and the work of the library and the staff.
Within the library organization, the Director develops and recommends policies to the Board of Trustees and implements policies as they are adopted. The Director also works with the Board to ensure that the Library's historic structures meet the current needs of our community. The Director maintains a strong working relationship and excellent lines of communication with the Board.
