The RK Kittay Library in Rupert, Vermont is seeking a Library Director.  The Director Reports to the Board of Trustees and is 10 hours per week, not to exceed 40 per month.  The pay rate is $600/month.

Responsibilities include:
Selecting, purchasing and preparing books for circulation
Plan and implement programs/events for all ages
Recruit and train volunteers.  Coordinate schedule for open hours
Collecting monthly statistics
Providing customer service

Skills must include:
Basic knowledge of libraries and how they function
Excellent communication (oral and written)
Technology:  assist patrons with devices, maintain library computers, update social media and website
Ability to work within a budget

Experience/Education:
A college degree, related experience and knowledge of library functions or the willingness to pursue Vermont Public Library Certification.

Other:
Understanding the uniqueness and needs of the Rupert community is a must.  Rupert is a town of 700 residents spread out over 44.6 square miles.  The Library is currently open 7 hours a week with plans to resume 12 open hours soon.  The candidate must be energetic, organized, and able to stoop, lift and carry up to 20 pounds

Library Director – Heath Free Public Library (Heath, MA)

The Heath Free Town Library is seeking a resourceful, and creative Library Director to manage and guide our small community-centered library into the future with innovative programs and services.

The Director is responsible for the administration and operation of the library as well as for providing services that are responsive to the educational, cultural, historical, and recreational needs of our small rural community.  The director will work collaboratively with the three Library Trustees and library assistant, keeping all players informed and up to date. The Newmarket Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking a Library Director who is experienced, enthusiastic, innovative, and very public service orientated.  The Director oversees a staff of 1 full-time and 5 part-time employees, a collection of approximately 37,000 items, and an annual budget of $325,260.

Library Director – Waterbury Public Library (Waterbury, VT)

The Waterbury Public Library seeks an innovative and enthusiastic Library Director to lead our library into the future.  Waterbury’s beautiful new library was opened in 2016 and the incoming Library Director will find wonderful opportunities to develop library space, collections, and programming.  The Director will develop a vision for further integrating the library as a part of our vibrant and growing community. About Us: The Fairlee Public Library is seeking a creative, energetic, and fun Library Director for this rural, small town library located in Fairlee, VT.
