Part-time Library Clerks – Enfield Public Library (Enfield, NH)

The Enfield Public Library in Enfield, NH seeks two part-time library clerks to assist with the daily activities of the library. Job duties and abilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Circulation desk duties
  • Shelving
  • Answering the telephone
  • Helping patrons locate library materials
  • Assisting patrons with digital media and interlibrary loan

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service attitude towards patrons of all ages is essential and proficiency using a computer is necessary
  • Knowledge of adult and children’s books and movies
  • Previous library experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
  • Candidate must be able to carry, bend, lift, kneel, and reach upper and lower shelves

Hours:

  • Position 1: Monday and Thursday evenings 5:00-8:00p and Saturdays 9:30a-2:00p
  • Position 2: Saturdays 9:30a-2:00p

The Gay-Kimball Library (GKL) Board of Trustees is seeking a new director who is welcoming, innovative, tech-savvy, organized, and an effective communicator with strong leadership qualities. Qualifications:  Master’s in Library Science from an ALA accredited program is preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  A minimum of four years of progressively responsible library experience including supervisory and administrative work.
Demonstrated customer service skills.

The salary range is $38,000 – $43,000 depending on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications.  The position’s generous benefit package includes health and dental insurance, NH retirement, and sick and vacation time.  Hiring is contingent on a background check.
